Dead End Press

This was the first time that I was asked to draw a caricature in a specific style. These were inspired by the drawing style of Dan Clowes. The subjects are Nate and Jordan, the founders of Dead End Press in Seattle.

Driving Lesson featuring Batman and Robin

Here is a recent piece that was illustrated for a Vespa Art Show in San Diego next week. It was a blast to draw and I definitely want to start drawing vehicles on a more regular basis.

Perfect Strangers

Here is the final product and the process video for my Hulk and Wolverine drawing. This was drawn in the span of 2.5 hours with the SketchClub app for ipad.

New iPad Caricature Tutorial

This tutorial details my entire process from start to finish. The app I'm drawing in is called ArtStudio. If you are interested in learning a few tricks, buy the app and feel free to draw along with me! Special thanks go out to Eman Evans for letting me draw him.

You have 5 hours to design a character....

This was the idea behind Dead End Press' Steampunk Art Show. We were given a synopsis for a character and in the span of 5 hours, we were locked in a studio drawing. Once the 5 hours were up, we met back up for an art show attended by friends, family and casual art appreciators.
My submission was pretty unique, as it was all drawn on an ipad. My piece was interactive and definitely captivated the curiosity of the show's visitors, resulting in me winning 3rd Place in the character design contest. So here is my contribution to the show. This was set in Victorian England and the protagonist is a musician that uses a sound based weapon to defend England against the villainous Mole People.

ipad Process Video

This video was made using SketchClub's record feature. This amazing app will record your entire drawing process and then you have the option to speed things up and add music! The inspiration for the drawing was my friend Sarah's daughter, Mira. Enjoy!

Plus Size Wonder Woman

The drawing itself was completed in ArtStudio, the background in SketchClub. I'm going to start mixing it up between drawing apps because they both have wonderful things to offer.
