Creating an icon for an event, especially one featuring a movie as celebrated as The Big Lebowski can be a daunting task. I decided to create a bowling pin pattern with a hand-drawn, but graphic image of The Dude overlapping the pins. I might play around with different color combinations, but I like what I have so far.

It's been a very busy few months for yours truly. I've been in contact with Hulk Hogan over the past 2 months in regards to t-shirt designs,and everything is finally "good to go" with the production of these shirts. Starting this fall, the shirts will be available for purchase on Hogan's website hulkhogan.com and will also be for sale in retail shops world wide. In anticipation of the t-shirt launch, I wanted to show off some of the designs that I have been working on with Hogan's help. Keep in mind that most of this is unfinished work and will not be completed until next month. It has been a great experience working with one of my life-long idols and it feels amazing to leave my mark on Hulkamania. Enjoy BROTHER!

My friend Jamie Rockwell works for YOUnique Magazine doing page layout, design, and illustrations every now and then. An article fell into his lap that was meant to be accompanied by one of my drawings. This article was about comic books and thier effect on popular culture. Jamie asked me to hook him up and less than 24 hours later I sent him my generic superhero. The issue with my illustration should be published in a month or so. I'll post the article when I get it.

No Country For Old Men

What do you fear? I could never really grasp why people were afraid of Freddy, Jason, or Michael Meyers. They were too far fetched. These guys would have all kinds of rediculous punishment inflicted upon them and they would just keep coming and coming in sequel after sequel. Javier Bardem in "No Country For Old Men" scared the living shit out of me. He was a force of nature. When hurt, he would collect himself in retreat, and then come back. He never stops. Jesus, that's a frightening concept.

I've never been a huge fan of Tom Waits, but two years ago my roommate would play his vinyls every day. After a while I really started to appreciate his disjointed and chaotic music. I always felt that Tom Waits' music was like a giant puzzle that you spend weeks putting together, but there is always a piece missing.

Well, I've decided to start a blog. I guess that this was inevitable, considering the large number of talented artists that already post here on a regular basis. I've never been really good about posting my thoughts and feelings, so I decided to post after consuming a minimum of 5 adult beverages. I'm a freakin' hive of emotion when I'm buzzed, and hopefully as the drinks dwindle I can keep up the trend of posting my thoughts on life.

By the way, tomorrow is my 26th Birthday. I will be rockin' out at the 1st Annual BeerFest Celebration! Come join me in a competition for the ages!!!
